Our 3rd Annual Meeting was successful on many levels.  We were fortunate in having Steve Vernon return after a well-received presentation in 2010. Attendance was up, the facility was convenient for several out of state travellers, the audience engaged, and the subject matter varied and informative.

Here are a few of the comments: "Steve Vernon was just plain fabulous", "superb, unbiased advice. Thanks.", "Best speaker ever-very organized", "All were knowledgeable."

Of those filling out the program evaluation, 100% found the "variety" format of the day to be useful.

Steve Vernon spoke in the morning about strategies for having a comfortable retirement that included finances, health, and proper preparation. In the afternoon topics included common mistakes when selling a practice, trusts and estates, and experiences and perspectives about retirement from three dentists.

John Nelson in Portsmouth, NH

On September 18, 2009, ARD presented its first workshop. John Nelson, author of What Color is Your Parachute for Retirement, presented in Portsmouth, NH, a workshop that was well-received and highly informative. John’s “Retirement Well-being Model” is thoughtfully constructed and can serve a model for living even before retirement. The premise is that we all want Health, Happiness, and Prosperity. To achieve this well-being it helps to understand how a few important components of living interconnect. It is composed of psychological, geographical, social, medical, and biological facets of life and the overlap of these facets.
